Aslak Warming
Aslak Warming is a Danish artist, finishing his bachelor's degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2024.
Aslak Warming's work focuses on the intersection of body and objects. It deals with the objectification of bodies and spaces, as well as the embodiment of objects and materials. His work explores what the body can become and how transforms both physically and conceptually. When working with textiles and soft objects, his work delves into materiality and how textiles are filled with meaning due to how our bodies inhabit and use them in both life and rituals.
Aslak examines how apertures in bodily organs, for example, have vital functionality, but also how apertures can have fatal consequences for the body's function.
In the past year, Aslak has ventured into other materials, such as ceramics, which are exhibited here in Brasserie Post.
